Turn Scene Descriptions into Shot-by-Shot Panels

Translating a script into visuals usually means hiring a concept artist or sketching rough thumbnails for hours. The AI storyboard generator turns your scene descriptions into professional panels in seconds. Whether you're pre-visualizing a short film, pitching a commercial, or planning a game cutscene, you get clear shot compositions without waiting on anyone.

How to Use

  1. Upload a reference image (optional). Add up to 2 images to give the AI visual context for a specific character, location, or prop.

  2. Describe your scene. Be specific — include setting, subject, and action. "A detective enters a rain-soaked alley, neon signs reflecting on wet pavement" beats "detective in an alley."

  3. Set the four dropdowns — this is where output quality is decided. Shot Type controls framing, Camera Move adds motion intent, Visual Style sets the aesthetic, and Mood shapes emotional tone. Don't skip these.

  4. Use Ideas tags to start faster. Pick a tag (Game Cutscene, Ad Social Cut, PREVIS Tension, etc.) and hit the refresh icon to rotate through more options.

  5. Generate and iterate. Adjust aspect ratio and image count in Settings, generate, refine the prompt, and repeat for each shot.

What You Can Build With This

Pre-Visualize a Film or Video Before You Shoot

Blocking a complex scene before arriving on set saves time and money. Describe your environment and action, choose a camera move like a dolly or crane shot, and generate the frame. Build out your full shot list panel by panel before a single camera rolls. Once your statics are locked, animate the panels to create a full animatic.

Pitch a Commercial or Social Campaign

Ad agencies and freelancers often need to sell a concept before producing it. Use the Ad Social Cut or PREVIS Action idea tags to get started fast, then dial in the mood and visual style to match your brand brief. A visual deck lands better than a script alone — and you can generate all the frames in one session.

Plan a Game Cutscene or Graphic Novel Sequence

Game designers and comic creators need to block out camera angles and pacing before handing work off to artists. Choose from Game Cutscene or Game UI Flow presets, set your visual style, and produce a blueprint your team can actually reference. This replaces rough thumbnail sketches with polished, consistent frames.

What Makes It Different

Shot Type and Camera Move Controls Built Into the Prompt

Most AI image tools require you to encode camera direction into free-text prompts, which is inconsistent and easy to get wrong. The dedicated Shot Type and Camera Move dropdowns give you structured control over framing and motion intent — so "Dutch Angle" or "Dolly In" actually reliably influences the output, not just sometimes.

Mood and Visual Style Keep Your Sequence Consistent

A disjointed storyboard — where each panel looks like it was generated by a different tool — is useless for production. Set Visual Style and Mood once and apply them across your entire sequence. This keeps your panels coherent enough to share directly with clients or crew.

AI Storyboard Generator with Reference Image Input

Upload up to 2 reference images alongside your text prompt. This is useful when your scene requires a specific character look, location, or prop that's hard to describe in words alone. The AI uses the visual as context, not just the text.

Preset Idea Tags Cover the Most Common Shot Scenarios

The ideas panel includes production-specific presets: PREVIS Action, PREVIS Tension, Ad Product Story, Animation Dialogue, Game Cutscene, Shot List Action, Social Hook, YouTube Intro, and more. Instead of building prompts from scratch, you get a working starting point that matches your production context. Rotate the tags with the refresh icon to see all available options.
